Fun and inclusive African and Latin diaspora dance, music and song sessions for children with Heather.

 

Weaving her fun, playful, and creative personality with strong cultural dance references and NZ education pedagogy, this program provides a space for diaspora voices to speak and be heard; to create, and be seen.

 

Heather is a graduate of Anthropology, Spanish and Nutrition; and a preliminary registered NZ Primary School Teacher with police vetting. Learning latin dances in latin community settings for over 10 years inspired her delve deeper into the cultural histories that premised the development of these dance forms. This led her to study Afro-Cuban dance and West African Dances from Guinea and Senegal, all of which she continues to undertake professional development regularly with renowned indigenous dance artists and instructors.

 

Wednesday 4-4:45pm* (dependent on studio availability).

Fees: $130 per term. All payments must be received prior to commencement of term.
